Maintenance Requirements
Air Filter
The time period between filter changes will depend upon type of environment where the equipment is used.
- In a single-family home that is not under construction, changing or cleaning the filter every 60 days is sufficient.
- In other applications such as motels where daily vacuuming produces a large amount of lint, filter changes may need to be as frequent as every two weeks.
Annual Check Up (must be performed by a qualified HVAC technician)
- Clean and flush the condensate drain.
- Work through the "Check Out Sheet" section of the manual.
- Record the measurements of volts, amps, and water temperature for both heating and cooling.
- Compare your readings against the information on the product's data plate and the check-out sheet that was completed by the installer when the heat pump was started up originally.
If any inspection reveals any damaged components, they must be replaced prior to placing the heat pump back into operation.
