About the Bosch SCS Light
The Bosch Staged Capacity Split (SCS) Light Air Conditioner series brings proven, field-tested design into the Bosch Home Comfort air conditioner lineup, offering homeowners a cost-effective option for replacing their cooling system. The unit is engineered as part of a matched system with the Bosch BGK80A gas furnace and BMAT evaporator coil, which balances airflow and thermal performance across the home’s heating and cooling equipment. With R-454B refrigerant, the SCS Light series meets current low-global warming potential (Low-GWP) requirements.
Cooling for All Climates
Available in a 14.3 SEER2 model for southern U.S. climates, delivering efficient cooling during long, hot summers.
Available in a 13.4 SEER2 model for northern U.S. and Canadian climates, delivering efficient cooling during the summer season.
Designed for Installation Flexibility
Bosch SCS Light air conditioners are designed with the contractor in mind. Accessible components and flexible configurations make installation and service simpler, and the matched BMAT cased coil supports upflow, downflow, and horizontal setups. The SCS Light can also be registered digitally through the Bosch EasyAir app and partner portal.
Performance and Reliability
The SCS Light Series is built to stand up to demanding conditions. A microchannel aluminum coil and a durable, salt-spray-rated finish help the unit resist heat, humidity, and coastal air, which protects it in environments where corrosion can shorten equipment life.
